  • MS Students created a video submission for the NYS OPDV Challenge #ICanDoSomething on Dating Violence Prevention #WellsvilleCSD

As part of the Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum students are learning about healthy relationships (family, friends and dating). February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. Students were given the opportunity to create a video for New York State’s Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence on Teen Dating Violence Prevention. A small group of students volunteered to collaborate on this special independent study assignment. Students used their knowledge from the curriculum, researched, planned, filmed, produced and edited video for the final product that had to be less than 60 seconds.

This video is a vibrant expression of our Middle School students and their stances on Teen Dating Violence and Awareness and Prevention.
